As indicated earlier, I prefer to say as little as possible about my 3D work, other than that it is clearly geometric (the principle sources for the forms being the varieties of polyhedra, crystals and crystallography, and the monuments of Ancient civilisations)). I would only add that my general preference for larger sculptures is for outdoor settings, particularly where they can be placed in conjunction with appropriate plantings. I personally favour foliage plants as an accompaniment to these structures - particularly Bamboos, Grasses, Conifers and Ferns, whose graceful, fluid contours set up an interesting contrast with the crystalline formality of the works themselves.
Many of the smaller pieces are finished works, but others are the sculptural equivalent of sketches - the ‘back-office’ productions of any working artist. The collection includes maquettes for full-scale sculptures, experimental 3d doodling, drawings, and models that have been created specifically for photographic experimentation.
